Description:
Located in San Jose’s Kelley Park, the Japanese Friendship Garden was inspired by the design of Japan’s famous Koraku-en in Okayama, Japan. Funding for the new gate came from multiple sources, with citizens of Okayama, San Jose, and the City of San Jose all contributing.
Working in collaboration with Okayama architect Akihiko Namba, Studio S Squared donated architectural services to help Mr. Namba’s vision become a reality.
