Project Name:
BOAMAN/SAVARD RESIDENCE II
Program:
New 1600 s.f. ground floor addition, new 900 s.f. basement addition, and whole house remodel of existing 2300 s.f. one story house in California Ranch Style.
Description:
This 1950s ranch house is located steps away from one of the most desirable elementary schools on the Peninsula, and our objective was to make the house more family-friendly.
To that end, we opened up the main public spaces of the house to the spacious backyard by creating views through a new cathedral-ceilinged great room, which was in turn created by combining several smaller rooms together. By siting a new master suite wing on the west side of the house, a courtyard was created to frame the existing pool. A basement with 9’ finish ceilings under the new addition provides a multi-purpose recreation room and guest suite.
