Project Name:
LAWRENCE HOTEL
Program:
Exterior rehabilitation of historic commercial building.
Description:
This former residential hotel with ground floor retail is a contributing structure to the National Register District in San Jose’s historic downtown core. The brick building suffered from deferred maintenance and haphazard storefront remodels done over the years. The design approach was to create a more unified appearance at the ground floor while addressing items requiring rehabilitation. The scope of work included a detailed survey of deferred maintenance items, new signage and awnings, restoration of new windows, and new tile bulkheads and entries.
